Turku Printmakers Association has brought an exhibition Mezzanotte of contemporary printmaking from Turku Finland to Galleria d’arte Il Bisonte
The story behind the name ”Mezzanotte” tells about the long period of winter darkness in Finland, the often used printing ink in prints; the BLACK, and the exhibition coming from the North (in old Italian mezzanotte also meaning NORTH).
The exhibition shows a special variety of prints from 23 artists, and gives a good glimpse in contemporary printmaking in Finland right now. Artist presenting Turku Printmakers in Il Bisonte are:

Maija Albrecht, Annika Dahlsten, Markku Haanpää, Saija Hairo, Anu Halmesmaa, Annette Hammaren, Katri Ikävalko, Petra Kallio, Nina Kerola, Sirkku Ketola, Miina Laine, Lotta Leka, Sara Manninen, Jone Mutka, Eliisa Määttälä, Inari Raaterova, Taru Salonen, Katja Syrjä, Panu Thursberg, Aino Toivettula, Tiina Vainio, Jirko Viljanen and Merja Ylitalo.

Mezzanotte is the second collaborative exhibition between Turku Printmakers and the Il Bisonte foundation, the purpose of which is to create a profitable interaction between European art and cultural institutions. The first exhibition The Bison Footprint was held in Turku Galleria Joella, in fall 2022, presenting works by twenty graphic artists who attended the Il Bisonte International School in Florence, Italy in the 90s or later.

The Bison Footprint exhibition in Turku was part of the twin city celebration year of the cities of Turku and Florence. Mezzanotte in Il Bisonte is a continuum to the fertile collaboration between Turku Printmakers Association and Fondazione Il Bisonte.
