TTG´S OWN EXHIBITION: ELÄIMELLISTÄ (ANIMALITY)

This summer, Galleria Joella is taken over by animals, as members of TTG (Turku Printmakers Association) freely and loosely explore animality in their works. The result is a rich, diverse, and surprising display of contemporary printmaking and drawing. With dozens of prints, the exhibition offers intriguing perspectives on animality and nature in today’s world.

The theme touches on environmental issues, species loss, biodiversity, friendship, community, and care. Animality is found in everything from kittens to mosquitoes and ticks. The exhibition also reflects on human animality and our relationships with other species.

On display is an all-encompassing selection of printmaking—from intaglio to screen printing—as well as drawing in its many forms.
