HELENA HARTMAN: ALLT DÄREMELLAN – KAIKKI SILTÄ VÄLILTÄ (EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN) 11.12.2025 – 4.1.2026

Life is like a series of fleeting moments.
Perhaps they are only hints of colors, sketches, or fragments of feeling.
A current that continues forever and never stops, yet within this stream of moments there exists a core of eternity.

I wanted to capture all these moments and the continuous flow, moment by moment, layer by layer.
Like a painting that never ends, like time that moves on despite everything.

At the same time, I wanted to reach for something deeper than just the passing moments—something that continues beneath life’s sketch lines and brushstrokes like a quiet underlying color.
An experience of wordless prayer, contemplation, a sense of the sacred and a glimpse of eternity.
There, time disappears or stands still.

Within the paintings are both the fleeting moments and the quiet, ongoing eternity—two opposing forces, like life and death, body and soul, you and me.
But the paintings contain not only the extremes; they also hold everything in between, that which is unseen.
The invisible that separates and connects us: encounters, spaces, pauses.
The quiet, small, unnoticed—what carries life forward without demanding anything.

Everything in between.
