The association’s exhibition space Gallery Joella was founded in 1986 and is located in the centre of Turku at Aurajoki riverside. It is a non-profit art space that organizes 13 exhibitions on average per year featuring different types of art.
On top of the art exhibitions the association organizes other events in the gallery space, such as sales events and themed exhibitions associated with the creation of prints.
The Turku Printmakers have organized several art exchanges with both Finnish and international artist associations. In the last few years, the gallery has been visited by associations from the US, Iceland, Hyvinkää and Tampere, as well as printmakers from Jyväskylä, Lahti, Vaasa, Ahvenanmaa and Uppsala.
The association has also invited remarkable printmakers to hold private exhibitions in Joella.
We are no longer taking exhibition applications for the year 2025. The application period for the year 2026 will begin in spring 2025.
